  • It’s a horrendous disaster.  I hope all your loved ones are safe.

  • I’ve got a few friends in Japan, and the boyfriend knows someone in Sendai. Still waiting to hear from some people as well. I hope you get in touch with your friends and loved ones soon and find that everyone is safe.

  • OMG OMG Ger, I have been miserable thinking about you. I couldn’t get into your blog because I didn’t spell your id right. I posted a pulse and asked if anyone had heard about you, and sent a request to Chris ( christao408 ) in Thailand if he knew how to contact you. AND all yesterday and today I have been hoping and praying that you and your family are ok.

From your post it seems like you are in the US now. I was wondering why you hadn’t posted anything about the quake. You are so conscientious about posting every small detail about Japan, and here, I was, almost sick with worry that you hadn’t posted anything. Now I think that perhaps xanga just didn’t bring you to my site.

I thank God that you are well. I cannot begin to tell you the relief I feel. I am so sorry about what has happened there. My prayers with all of them.

  • I followed a rec to your site. This must be a nightmare for everyone there and those far away concerned for friends and family. The world weeps with Japan. These pictures are heart breaking.

  • I dont know you but plenty of people here have been worried sick about you. I am glad you are ok and I pray your loved ones are as well.

  • Our prayers are with you and all there.

  • These pictures are so hard to see, but I thank you for posting them. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the people of Japan.

  • I have friends in Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka and Kanazawa.  I’m sure this horror has exceeded any the Japanese people have experienced since 1945.  Know that we are almost as one in wanting to do what can be done to alleviate the nation’s suffering.

  • I’m so sorry for the misery of the affected people in Japan.  They are in my prayers.

  • Thanks so much for your concern…I am in the USA taking care of my mother but I have spent most of my computer time checking with friends and family on Facebook and twitter to see if they are all OK…

So amazing that Facebook turns out to be the “only” way to find information…cell towers are out and call lines from Tokyo are hard to get
Still checking with  few other friends as we have a small office in Sendai…@ZSA_MD -

  • thanks so much for your concern…I am home in the USA taking care of my mother as fate would have it but I wish I was there to help my friends!

  • Hoping and praying all will be well. I understand the need to return and make sure everyone is okay. Hang in there.

  • This quake was so powerful it made Japan look like Haiti. The damage is unbelievable.
